Overview

Mano Discounts ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a Shopify app that helps merchants create and manage discounts. It provides two main features: (1) pair, quantity and cart-value discounts powered by a Shopify Function, and (2) bulk generation of large sets of unique discount codes that can be exported. This policy explains what data the app accesses, what we store, how it is used, and how it is protected. By installing the app, you agree to this policy.

Information We Access

When a merchant installs the app, we access the following store data through Shopify's official Admin APIs, strictly to provide the app's functionality:

• Store profile and settings (shop name, domain, currency, timezone).
• Discounts, price rules and discount codes created or managed by the app.
• Products and product variants, so merchants can target discounts.
• Collections, used to target discounts by collection.
• Customer segments, used only to let merchants limit a discount to a segment.
• Orders, used only to display in-app discount analytics (redemptions and revenue). We do not export or process order details beyond this.

What We Store

We store only the data required to operate the app:

• Store session data — your store domain and the secure Shopify access token used to make API calls on your behalf.
• Discount configuration — settings for pair/quantity discounts are stored on Shopify itself (as discount metafields).
• Bulk code job data — for the bulk-code feature, we store the job configuration (such as discount type, code length and progress) and the generated discount codes themselves in our database, so that you can track progress and download the codes as a CSV/ZIP file. These generated codes are random, non-personal strings and do not contain customer information.

We do not store customer personal data (names, email addresses, phone numbers or shipping addresses) on our servers.

How We Use Data

Data is used solely to operate the app's features — creating, applying and exporting discounts, and showing analytics to the merchant. We do not use store, order or customer data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the app. We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.

Data Sharing & Subprocessors

We do not share your data except with the infrastructure providers required to run the service, or where required by law:

• Shopify — the platform the app runs on and the source of all store data.
• Fly.io — our cloud hosting provider, where the application and its database run.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep data only for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, we delete your store's session data and the bulk-code job records associated with your store. You may also request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

We honour Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Because we do not store customer personal data, a data request returns no customer data, and a redaction request removes any related job and session data we hold for that store.

Data Security

Access tokens are stored securely and are never exposed to the storefront or to third parties. All communication with Shopify and with the app happens over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed to individuals under the age of majority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
